RE: BILL # HF 1031/SF
974
Doe$n’t this grab your attention in fi$cally
troubled times?
Title IV-D is the ONLY Welfare
Program With NO Eligibility Standards
Current Minnesota IV-D welfare law
enlists and encourages self-sufficient citizens
(even the
affluent and those in no jeopardy of needing government support)
who are not in need, and encourages
them to become dependent on the government and receive taxpayer subsidized
welfare services
for up to 20 years!
Real–life Practical Application: A former TANF parent in
“need” loses child care assistance benefits and is forced back on IV-A welfare
benefits; while at the same time we provide IV-D welfare services to a parent earning
$150,000 a year and allow them to continue IV-D welfare services* for 20
years, because IV-D welfare services to the affluent remain untouched? Most
legislators, no matter what their party affiliation, find this absurd.
Why are we
giving
welfare to the rich
and depriving
the poor?
Current policy defies common
sense, and contradicts the American way.
What’s wrong with this picture?
Who has the courage to think
outside the box? →→
* IMPORTANT
CLARIFICATION: IV-D Welfare is NOT about child support guidelines legislation – IV-D
Welfare is a distinctly separate issue that must be addressed independently to
preserve welfare for the needy.
Who can make a difference?
Everyone

CREATIVE SOLUTION
PREVIOUSLY IGNORED: IV-D Welfare Services provided
to the “rich” must no longer be untouchable! If the working people must lose
services, so must the affluent. Eliminate IV-D Welfare Services
to the Rich! |
We must differentiate between
PRIVATE interest and PUBLIC interest
Most Legislators say it is a
complete surprise that
we are providing IV-D welfare
services to the rich!
Please
support non-partisan bill HF1031/SF974. I suggest you contact CPR for a simple
presentation outlining all supporting research that allows the MN legislators
to stop services to the non-needy
to redistribute the money to protect
needy, poor, and vulnerable families.
